“Campus Belli” is Latin for “battle field”. The phrase recalls the legendary battles that took place in these lands. First came the battle of Segesta against Selinunte. Later in 409 B.C. Segesta came under siege of the Carthaginian army led by Hannibal. A major earthquake then destroyed the territory. This wine, Nero d’Avola and Cabernet Sauvignon, is made in this region, a beautiful blend of international and local varieties from vineyards located between 300 and 400 meters above sea level.
