Nuits Saint Georges is the wine capital of Cotes de Nuits district, located just before Vosne-Romanee form Dijon. It is so famous, then a crater on the moon have been named Nuits Saint Georges. Within the 308 ha under the AOC only 7 ha are dedicated to white. The reds are generally full bodied with a muscular structure of acidity and tannins. It needs some years before revealing its potential.
The Wine:
The wine is made with destalked grapes in opens vats for 3 weeks. Maturation for an average of 18 months in French oak barrels. The total production is 300 bottles.

Tasting Notes:
Deep ruby color verging on mauve. It evoques rose and liquorice with intense cherry fruit and macerated prune. Evolves in leather and truffle when maturated. The taste is long in the mouth, and has a well balanced and robust structure.
Food Pairings:
It goes superbly with flavorful and virile meats (roasted lamb, rib roast, duck breast), but also main cheeses.
