Pietra Brox is a large mass of green volcanic rock that was part of Mont Epomeo until a landslide deposited it in the midst of the vineyard that now bears the same name.

Hollowed out more than 1,000 years ago, it is a testimony to the historical island homes that were carved in the same volcanic rock.

The structure, first used as a refuge during invasions, now houses the winery and “palmenti”, ancient vinification structures restored and implemented respecting island traditions.

The vineyards were planted in 2005 with curiously named varieties native to Ischia: Biancolella, Forastera and Uva Rilla. The summer harvest of these grapes is dedicated in part to the making of Pietra Brox and in part to Giardini Arimei.
